After 500 miles of trail dust and surly steers, we decided to make a show of our entrance into town. Our time was short and our wants were many, so we resolved to live a kings life for a few hours and so we did.
A drovers life in the saddle is a fine calling, and one that suits me well, but, for a young fellow, the sirens call of a rowdy cow town makes the ride back to camp a long one.
