Warm, summer, weekend nights were always spent at the drive-in. Children playing on the playground equipment just below the screen, speaker hanging on car windows, the refreshment center full of anxious snackers. Not to mention the great movie and sometimes a second that would play all night under the summer stars.
Most of these drive-in movie theaters are long-gone but one still shows regularly on old Rt. 66 in Carthage, Missouri.
