Companions | Aspen | Breaux

Aspen colonies are one of my favorite subjects to paint.  Above ground we see a group of trees but below the surface the roots spread from the older trees and new trees sprout from the root system. When you see a group of aspens they are tied together and companions for life.  This reminds me of human relationships and the connectedness of families.  We are tied together by our connectedness and shared experiences and are “companions” for life.
